The Legislative Council by-election for the Hong Kong Island Geographical Constituency has already ended, so has the rolling poll of the by-election conducted by the Public Opinion Programme (POP) at the University of Hong Kong co-sponsored by a number of media organizations. The last fieldwork date of the rolling poll was November 30. According to sponsorship terms, findings of the rolling poll are first provided to sponsors for exclusive use, and then uploaded onto the "HKU POP SITE" (http://hkupop.pori.hk) for public consumption after no less than 48 hours. The first four rounds' rolling poll frequency and cross-tabulation analyses were already uploaded online on November 9, 10, 15, 23 and 30 respectively.

POP today releases via the POP Site the results of the final wave of rolling polls conducted between November 25 and 30. The release includes frequency analyses of candidate strength and voters' propensity to vote, and cross-tabulation analyses of candidate support rates by voters' political alignment, propensity to vote, gender, age, education level, occupation and family class. POP will soon finish a follow-up poll on the by-elections, and then upload the findings onto the "POP SITE" in due course.
