Telephone survey conducted by telephone interviewers

Target population

:

Type II diabetes patients living in Hong Kong, who aged 18 or above, and mainly use western medical treatment

Sampling method

:

Telephone numbers were selected randomly from residential telephone directories and mixed with additional numbers generated by the computer. If more than one subject had been available, the one who had his/her birthday next was selected.

Sample size & effective response rate

:

506 Type II diabetes patients, the effective response rate is 57.8%

Std. sampling error

:

Less than 2.2% (at 95% confidence level, the maximum sampling error of all percentages should be no more than +/-4.4 percentage points)
