BackgroundBack

In August 2011, Network for Women in Politics commissioned the Public Opinion Programme (POP) at the University of Hong Kong to conduct this 「Survey on Women rights, Protection & Retirement Plans」. The target population of this survey is Hong Kong female citizens aged 18 to 64 years who speak Cantonese. The main objectives of this survey are to understand women's views on retirement protection in Hong Kong.

The research instrument used in this study was designed by the POP Team after consulting Network for Women in Politics. Meanwhile, fieldwork operations and data collection were conducted independently by the POP Team, without interference from any outside party and the commissioning body. In other words, though POP has sought opinions from Network for Women in Politics regarding the questionnaire design, POP was given full autonomy to the research design and operations, in return, POP would take full responsibility for all the findings reported herewith.
