Background of StudyBack

In December 2005, the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs commissioned the POP Team to conduct this "Opinion Survey on Constitutional Reform of Hong Kong". Cantonese-speaking Hong Kong citizen aged 18 or above were interviewed so as to gauge their views towards the constitutional reform proposal and universal suffrage.

The questionnaire was largely extracted from another round of "Opinion Survey on Constitutional Reform of Hong Kong" conducted by the POP Team from late November to early December. That survey was conducted before the December 4 Rally and sponsored by the Apple Daily, while the results have already been released via the Apple Daily and the "HKU POP SITE". The POP Team was fully responsible for the operation, data collection and analysis of these two surveys, without interference from any organization.
