HKU POP SITE releases the second round of Legislative Council by-election rolling survey results for public consumptionBack

Sponsored by a number of media organizations, the Public Opinion Programme (POP) at the University of Hong Kong began its rolling poll on the Legislative Council by-election for the Hong Kong Island Geographical Constituency immediately after the close of nominations on October 31. The methodology is the same as its previous rolling polls conducted every day. According to sponsorship terms, findings are first released immediately to sponsors for exclusive use, and then uploaded onto the "HKU POP SITE" (http://hkupop.pori.hk) for public consumption after no less than 48 hours. The first round's rolling poll frequency and cross-tabulation analyses were already uploaded online on November 9 and 10 respectively.

POP today releases via the POP Site the results of the second wave of rolling polls conducted between November 7 and 12. The release includes frequency analyses of candidate strength and voters' propensity to vote, and cross-tabulation analyses of candidate support rates by voters' political alignment, propensity to vote, gender, age, education level and occupation. Those related to gender and age analyses are released for the first time.
