Results of our survey conducted in mid-November revealed that the latest rating of CE Tung Chee-hwa was 49.8 marks. Meanwhile, 57% of the respondents did not support Tung as the Chief Executive, whereas 21% did. Regarding people's appraisal of the overall performance of the HKSAR Government, the latest figures revealed that 38% were dissatisfied, whereas 18% were satisfied.

Robert Ting-Yiu Chung, Director of Public Opinion Programme, observed, "Our survey shows that CE Tung Chee-hwa's popularity rating has been fluctuating between 48 and 50 marks since September this year, without any breakthrough. People's dissatisfaction with the SAR Government has increased a bit over the month past, and the ratio of those dissatisfied verses those satisfied is about 2:1."
