First Round Results of Joint-University Rolling Survey on 2017 - E Election Proposal set to be Published by Sponsor TomorrowBack

The Centre for Communication and Public Opinion Survey (CCPOS) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), the Public Opinion Programme (POP) of The University of Hong Kong (HKU), and the Centre for Social Policy Studies (CSPS) of Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU)* have been jointly conducting the “Joint-University Rolling Survey on 2017 Chief Executive Election Proposal” (Joint Survey) since April 23. A total of more than 1,000 cases are expected to be completed by today, and the results will be published by the sponsor NOW TV News tomorrow, April 28. Other media carrying tomorrow’s privileged findings should mention the Joint Survey as “sponsored by NOW TV News” and not just the names of the three universities, in accordance with professional ethics.

 

In future, for any particular data point sponsored by Organizations A, B, C…, non-sponsoring media should also mention A, B, C… when using the privileged early findings.

 

In case there is no sponsorship for a particular data point, the findings will be released jointly by the three universities four days after the completion of the survey, extended by weekends or public holidays. When citing those findings, the media need only mention the names of the three universities. Media organizations interested in sponsoring this Joint Survey thereby obtaining privileged early findings please contact HKU POP one working day ahead of the sponsorship day.
