I really appreciate to have this opportunity to join the course including the study trip for Taiwan election, which is so precious to me who came from mainland of China.

I always remember what I learned about Taiwan from the text book when I was in secondary school. I started to be curious about how people live there. Gradually, I knew more about Taiwan from many kinds of media. Then I looked forward to going there to see real Taiwan and people’s life, especially their democratic election. I felt excited when I knew my wishes would become true by this course. I want to thank all of the organizers for your hard working, your kindness, care and help to us all through the event. And I feel so happy for our success and good cooperation with each other.

Through this course, I experienced the presidential election in Taiwan by myself and feel it’s so good to have the democratic political system. Their democracy has their particular characters and become more matured. It’s better to rely on a good system instead of any party or person. People should have the freedom of knowing the truth and speaking out what they want to say. Maybe there is no perfect or same pattern of democratic system, however, there must be some good ways to develop a country’s political system based on democratic perspective. I really hope that we will have a peaceful and joyful civil society as a whole.

I enjoyed this wonderful course so much with all other members. I learned a lot from them too. This is a unforgettable and impressive happy memory to me. Thanks all very much!

5-days is very short for us to learn about Taiwan. It's not that easy to walk into Taiwan now, but it's very easy to build up a communication bridge with Taiwan people when we meet each other. This study trip makes me feel we youth can do more to build the channel of understanding between China and Taiwan.

Thanks for organizing this course and this trip. I have really enjoyed it a lot.

I am really grateful that this course was organized so that we have the chance to experience and explore. It was very different in Taiwan and in Hong Kong. This trip certainly stimulated me to think about the importance of democracy in Hong Kong.
