Research Background

The Office of Hon LEUNG Ka-lau Legislative Councillor commissioned Public Opinion Programme at The University of Hong Kong in April 2016 to conduct this survey on 5-7 April 2016 with 1,003 Hong Kong citizens of age 18 or above. The goal is to gauge their views on the review of the Medical Council of Hong Kong.

The research instrument used in this study was designed entirely by the POP Team after consulting Leung’s office. Fieldwork operations and data analysis were conducted independently by the POP Team, without interference from any outside party. In other words, POP was given full autonomy to design and conduct the survey, and POP would take full responsibility for all the findings reported herewith.
