研究背景

《南華早報》於2012年6月委託香港大學民意研究計劃進行是次調查，目的是了解市民對於香港回歸十五年以來的轉變，以及社會各方面發展的意見。當中部分樣本之數據亦與2007年調查作比較。

調查問卷由港大民研計劃諮詢《南華早報》後獨立設計，所有操作、數據收集及分析皆由民研計劃獨立進行，不受任何機構影響。換句話說，民研計劃在今次調查的設計及運作上絕對獨立自主，結果亦由民研計劃全面負責。

樣本資料

調查日期	:	11-18/6/2012
調查方法	:	由真實訪員以電腦隨機抽樣電話訪問形式進行
訪問對象	:	18歲或以上操粵語的香港居民
抽樣方法	:	從住宅電話簿中隨機抽出部分號碼，再用電腦配套另一部分，成為最後的抽樣架。當成功接觸目標住戶後，再以「即將生日」方法抽取其中一名成員接受訪問。
成功樣本	:	1,008個成功個案 (當中包括883位自稱香港出生及國內出生並來港超過15年人士)
整體回應比率	:	67.3%
抽樣誤差	:	標準誤差少於1.6個百分比，即在95%置信水平下，各個百分比的抽樣誤差不多於正負3.1個百分比。

* 為增加結果的代表性，調查數字已經按照政府統計處提供2011年終全港人口年齡及性別分佈初步統計數字，以「加權」方法作出調整。報告內的數據皆以「加權」樣本為準。
